Call for Papers Special Track on “Service-Centric Networking for Innovative Cloud Services and Applications” at the Eighth International Conference on Innovative Mobile and Internet Services in Ubiquitous Computing (IMIS-2014) July 2nd – July 4th, 2014, Birmingham City University, Birmingham, UK http://voyager.ce.fit.ac.jp/conf/imis/2014With the proliferation of wireless technologies, electronic (mobile) devices and Cloud services, there is a fast growing interest in Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing (UPC). UPC enables to create a human-oriented computing environment where computer chips are embedded in everyday objects and interact with physical world. Through UPC, people can get online even while moving around, thus having almost permanent access to their preferred services. With a great potential to revolutionize our lives, UPC and Cloud Computing pose new challenges in the networking research community and information-centric or service-centric networking paradigms are becoming promising approaches. Within the scope of the IMIS International Conference, a special track on “Service-Centric Networking for Innovative Cloud Services and Applications” is offered. This track is technically supported by the FP7 project SmartenIT (www.smartenit.eu).
