The SmartenIT consortium announces that the RB-HORST demonstration “WiFi Offloading and Socially Aware Prefetching on Augmented Home Routers” by George Petropoulos , Andri Lareida , Sergios Soursos, Michael Seufert, Valentin Burger and Burkhard Stiller, has been accepted and will be presented in the 40th IEEE Conference on Local Computer Networks (LCN), October 26-29, 2015, Clearwater Beach, Florida, USA.
This demonstration will show the key RB-HORST functionalities, including WiFi offloading, video caching, and video prefetching based on social and overlay network prediction algorithms, using the presented hardware setup and interacting with real end-users.
